Cookie Policy

Introduction
True Metriks (“True Metriks”, “Company”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) is a service operated by Game Dev Pro LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, with its registered office at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage are, how True Metriks uses them on our marketing website at truemetriks.com (and, when it launches, truemetriks.com), and what choices you have. It applies only to the True Metriks marketing website - not to the True Metriks product dashboard at app.truemetriks.com, and not to the websites of customers who use our tracking product.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit. Your browser stores them and sends them back to the originating website on later visits. Cookies are commonly used to remember your preferences, keep you signed in across pages, and give website owners a basic picture of how visitors use their site.
In addition to traditional cookies, websites can store small amounts of data using your browser’s localStorage or sessionStorage APIs. These work similarly to cookies but are never automatically sent to the server - they stay on your device and are read by client-side scripts only. When this policy refers to “cookies and similar storage,” it includes both traditional cookies and these browser storage mechanisms.
How we use cookies and similar storage
The True Metriks marketing website is a mostly static site. At the time this policy was last updated, our use of cookies and browser storage is minimal:
- Theme preference (localStorage). When you toggle the light/dark mode on this site, we store your choice under the key
tm-themein your browser’s localStorage. This is read on each page load to prevent a flash of the wrong color scheme. No data leaves your device - this value is never sent to our servers. - No tracking cookies at this time. The marketing site does not currently set any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. We do not use pixels, beacons, or fingerprinting scripts on the marketing surface.
We describe the full framework of cookie categories below so that when we add tools in the future, this policy already accurately reflects what those tools will do and the choices available to you.
Categories of cookies we may use
The following categories apply to cookies and similar storage that are in use now or may be introduced in the future. We will update this policy and the “Last updated” date whenever a new category is activated.
Strictly necessary / essential
These are required for the site to work properly. Without them, certain features cannot function. Because they are essential, they do not require your consent to be set. Currently this includes the tm-theme localStorage entry described above. In the future it may also include session cookies required by the TrueMetriks dashboard at app.truemetriks.com when you log in.
Functional
Functional storage remembers choices you make to give you a more personalized experience - for example, your preferred theme, language, or display settings. These go beyond what is strictly necessary for the site to load, but they make the experience better. Currently the theme preference (tm-theme) sits at the boundary of essential and functional. No additional functional cookies are set at this time.
Analytics
Analytics cookies measure how visitors use the site - which pages are visited most, how long visitors stay, what links they click, and where they came from. This helps us improve the site over time. The marketing site does not currently use any analytics cookies or scripts. If we add analytics in the future (for example, a privacy-respecting, self-hosted analytics tool), we will update this policy, describe what is collected, and update the “Last updated” date.
Advertising and marketing
Advertising cookies track users across websites to build profiles used for targeted ad delivery. The marketing site does not currently use any advertising or marketing cookies, pixels, or tracking scripts of this kind. If we add these in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by applicable law, seek your explicit consent before setting them.
Third-party cookies
Third-party cookies are set by domains other than the website you are visiting. For example, embedded YouTube videos, social media buttons, and external analytics platforms commonly set their own cookies.
At the time of this writing, the True Metriks marketing site does not load any third-party advertising, analytics, or social media scripts, and therefore does not introduce third-party cookies from those sources.
If we embed third-party content (such as YouTube videos, a live chat widget, or an external analytics service) in the future, those providers may set their own cookies governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. We will disclose any such additions in an updated version of this policy.
Cookies and the TrueMetriks tracking product
True Metriks offers an edge-tracking product that customers integrate into their own websites to measure conversions and user behavior. When a customer activates the TrueMetriks tracking script on their own website, that script may set first-party cookies on the customer’s domain (i.e., on the visitor’s device when they visit the customer’s site, not this marketing site).
Those cookies are set on behalf of the customer, governed by the customer’s own cookie policy and consent mechanism - not by this document. True Metriks acts as a data processor for that data. For details on how True Metriks handles the data it processes on behalf of customers, please review our Privacy Policy.
Your choices
You have several options for managing cookies and browser storage:
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies through its settings menu. You can typically find these controls under “Privacy,” “Security,” or “Site settings.” Browser vendors - including Google (Chrome), Mozilla (Firefox), Apple (Safari), and Microsoft (Edge) - publish detailed help documentation on managing cookies.
- Clearing localStorage. Browser developer tools (usually accessible with F12) let you clear localStorage entries for a specific site. You can also clear all site data via your browser’s settings.
- Third-party resources. Websites like aboutcookies.org provide plain-language guides to managing cookies across different browsers and devices.
Please be aware that blocking or deleting essential storage may affect the way the site functions. For example, if you clear the tm-theme localStorage entry, your theme preference will not be remembered and the site will revert to your operating system’s default color scheme on each visit.
Implied consent
By continuing to browse and use this website after having had the opportunity to read this Cookie Policy, you consent to our use of cookies and similar storage as described in this document. This is an implied-consent model: we do not currently display a cookie consent banner because the site’s current storage use is limited to essential and functional purposes.
If you do not agree to our use of cookies and similar storage as described here, please stop using this website or configure your browser to block cookies and clear any existing site data. If you don’t agree, do not use our website.
Should we introduce cookies that require explicit consent under applicable law (for example, advertising cookies or non-essential analytics), we will implement the appropriate consent mechanism at that time and update this policy accordingly.
Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in applicable law, or other operational reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically so you are aware of any changes. Your continued use of the site after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
